Amanda and Frank's engagement session at their home in Plymouth Meeting was special for so many reasons. The first? Amanda is my sister! My best friend, my first phone call every morning on my coffee walk, my travel buddy, and my go-to person for all things photography related. (Amanda is an incredibly talented photographer who started her career the same year I did!)
The second? Their beautiful home! It's not every day that I'm invited to a couple's home for photos. I'm sure most people think their living space isn't photogenic enough, or that the photos won't be 'epic.' But I love a cozy session at home to show all of the little ways your lives have melded and the way you spend your Sunday mornings and the place you call home now - in this moment. We wanted to celebrate their favorite activities during the pandemic lockdown: biking the river path near Manayunk, tending the vegetable garden they built, and Netflix binges with their labrador Moose. You'll see nods to all of those things, and some photos taken in the greenery beside their driveway (though I swear you can't even tell!).
So scroll on through and let me know: would you ever do your engagement session at your home?
