Bridget and Chris scheduled their engagement session with me for the same date exactly one year before their wedding in October. We met in Manayunk, at the same bar where Chris first joked that Bridget threw darts like baseballs and told everyone to "duck!" This flirtation was the beginning of a long relationship for these two. I LOVED being in Philly for their session. Growing up outside the city, Manayunk was a town where lots of family and friends lived during and after college, bought their first houses, and had their own weddings. I wandered around for a long time before the session began exploring the Tow Path, visiting Pretzel Park, and documenting little pieces of Philly. Things like the word 'jawn,' references to the Eagles, historic buildings, and lots of indefinable pieces of Philly-specific character. When Bridget and Chris arrived in comfort and style (yes, it's possible!) we began a long afternoon of wandering this magical place taking photos that highlighted their innate silliness with and care for each other. The light and the leaves were golden, and I was a very, very happy photographer :)
