Being a Colorado mountain photographer definitely has its perks. Gorgeous wide views to the continental divide, epic alpenglow at sunrise, and a huge variety of natural backdrops that are epic and inspiring. But I love the built environment, too! Heck, I married an architect ;)
Which is why I was SO excited to take engagement photos for Kristina and Phil in downtown Pittsburgh. We chose Union Station, a Beaux-Arts masterpiece finished in 1904. I think you'll agree when you see the photos that it's much more than a train station - it's a work of art!
It was especially fun to photograph these two in Pittsburgh because Kristina and I met at the University of Pittsburgh as students in 2011. Flash forward to August 2019 and I was visiting my longtime friend to celebrate her engagement. Phil proposed on a trip to Italy that summer and I could not wait to take photos that showed off their connection and playfulness.
Side note: these two are now MARRIED! Check out their July elopement in Lake Tahoe on my blog.
