The day of Leah and Joe's mid-September engagement session on Boulder's Flagstaff mountain was one of those perfect warm, golden afternoons that we all think of as quintessential Colorado fall. We started at an easy drive-up location before hiking to our second spot for sunset. This gave us a perfect mix of backdrops and experiences for a memorable session. I love doing engagement photos with my couples because we get to know each other. I learned that for their first kiss, Joe missed Leah's lips and kissed her chin! I heard about their new home purchase and the story of how they met and so much more. It made photographing their June wedding at Hudson Gardens in Littleton even more meaningful to me, and comfortable for them!
