A January engagement session in Rocky Mountain National Park was perfect for Sarah and Jamie, who love to ice climb in Ouray and built a ramp of snow in their backyard for skiing and snowboarding. We met on a chilly afternoon in the visitors center parking lot, which is always a great moment for me when I FINALLY get to hug my couples in person after phone calls and emails booking me as their photographer and setting up their engagement session. We had waited quite a while for this session as Sarah and Jamie's bespoke engagement rings were being made. Jamie chose a custom men's wedding band from Cronin Jeweler's with diamond above location of their wedding venue (Wild Basin Lodge).
It quickly became clear that Sarah and Jamie were up for anything as we frolicked in the snow. As the sun set on the Rocky Mountain peaks in the distance we post-holed back to our cars, not realizing we weren't done with our session yet! I was driving out ahead of them when I spotted a group of elk in a field by the road. I flagged down Sarah and Jamie's car and convinced them to hop out for one final shot. ;)
