When Stephen and Mariya planned a Colorado vacation, they knew that they wanted to take engagement photos they could never get at home in the Philadelphia area. As we chatted about their trip the first week of May, Stephen and I realized that we're from the same town of Malvern, PA -- and even went to the same high school!
We emailed back and forth extensively over location choices, what to wear, what to bring, the weather, and more. I even sent my favorite coffee shops and restaurants, day hikes in the area, and things to do in Boulder and Denver. I wanted them to have not only the best engagement photos but the best overall trip ever.
They decided on two locations up Boulder's Flagstaff Mountain for a sunset engagement photoshoot. The day arrived warm and mild, which is never a given in May when late-season snowstorms or thick fog can roll in (like this Foggy Chautauqua and Flagstaff Engagement Session or my own foggy May wedding!)
